2022

necropolis is a cemetery or place intended for burials. Etymologically it means city of the dead or corpses, as it comes from ancient Greek: 'νεκρός "necros", dead or corpse, andπόλις pólis, City State.

Carmilla it was one of the first vampire stories written, a precursor to many successful works, such as Dracula of Bram Stoker, who was based on many characteristics ofSheridan Le Fanu to write his work. Le Fanu was based on the legendary story of the beautiful countess Isabel Bathory ("the Bloody Countess") to create the beautiful Carmilla (Countess Mircalla).

The physical appearance of the real and literary character describes a lady belonging to the high nobility, with an elegant bearing that borders on melancholy, exquisitely long black hair, large, dark feline eyes full of mystery, a sensual red mouth, and fingers like needles. This vision incorporates some elements of this story and the gothic aesthetic usually related to vampires, along with the proposal of what Carmilla would look like in the 21st century.
